As we continue our time travel we now head back to the County Fairs of the early 1900’s. The period dress, the smells of old time cotton candy and the music from a bygone era all come to life at the Ogemaw County Country Fair. |

If the art and county fairs didn’t convince you to take a trip to Ogemaw County maybe a trip down the famous Rifle River will be your cup of tea. It was off to Rose City where we would meet with the biggest canoe rental owner in the county and his name of course is "Big Mike" at Big Mikes Canoe Rental.

| Were not done on the river yet. I have heard so much about the great trout fishing on the Rifle River I had to give it a try. |

Before we leave the Rose City area we want to do one more outdoor activity. We are going to spend some time on what we are told are the best off road vehicle trails in Michigan. Steve set us up with local ORV enthusiast Ron Sape. Ron filled us in on all the great opportunities. |

Let’s jump back in our time machine and meet with some French Voyageurs. They are stationed at Irons Park. |

| While touring the encampment we heard the music of bagpipes and looking down the trail that is exactly what was headed our way a Scottish Bag pipe brigade. |
